'UP TO NOW' - Exhibition Walkthrough
12th & 26th March 2020
Valletta Contemporary invites you to a guided walkthrough of the exhibition 'Up to Now'. The show presents an eclectic mix of works by local and international artists, that have already made an appearance in shows from the past 2 years – from photography and sculpture, to video and installation.
Alongside 'Up to Now', VC is proud to exhibit officially for the first time in the Project Space a collection of VC Editions. This is an initiative that supports selected local and international contemporary artists through commissioning the production of new work that is made available for sale exclusively through VC gallery.
This is a good opportunity to learn more about the diversity in contemporary art, expand your views and taste, find out what has been happening on the local scene, or simply have a conversation about the subject - even if you happen to be a sceptic about this 'thing' called contemporary art. The walkthroughs will be guided by VC's assistant to the artistic director, Manuela Zammit
Manuela Zammit

Manuela is trained as a contemporary art curator and specialises in art exploring approaches to language. She graduated with an MFA in Contemporary Curating from Manchester School of Art in September 2018 and then moved on to work in Amsterdam as curatorial trainee at Foam photography museum between 2018/19. In 2017, she was awarded a steward-research fellowship by the British Council through which she spent a month working at the British Pavilion during the 57th Venice Art Biennale and developing a research project which was later presented at Kingston University, London. Her practice utilises research and making as complementary processes that inform each other. She currently works as assistant to the artistic director at Valletta Contemporary.
