Sheldon Saliba

Sheldon Saliba (b. 2000) is a Malta-based visual artist with a background in Art History. His work examines rural and built environments, focusing on land use and the Anthropocene's impact on materials. By interpreting cabinets of curiosities and archival material through sculptural installations, he critiques contemporary realities with a nostalgic lens, speculating on the future. In 2022, he represented Malta at the Night of Ideas, a youth forum by the French Institute, and won the Shifting Contexts project for his work, Reconstructed Balustrades.
