Verbi: mill-bieb ’il ġewwa
December 7, 8, 9 from 20:00-22:00
Cost: €15
Verbi: mill-bieb ’il ġewwa is an interdisciplinary promenade performance art event by Brussels-based Barumbara Collective, to be held at the exhibition space Valletta Contemporary. Verbi is a collaboration of eight European artists (Malta, Belgium, Italy, France, England) coming from different artistic disciplines.
The work is based on a collection of short stories, mill-bieb ’il ġewwa (take a look inside (me)), written by award-winning Maltese writer Loranne Vella, who is also directing the event. The event blurs the dividing lines between photographic exhibition, installation, dance, theatre, video projection, drama, music concert, etc., creating a multidisciplinary and multisensorial experience in a unique venue which allows for such fluidity.
Ticket holders will be able to enter Valletta Contemporary on 7, 8 or 9 December any time between 8pm and 10pm to experience any part of the event which ends at 11pm. The performance structure will be looped on the hour.
Verbi installation at Valletta Contemporary will be open to the public from 4-8 December from 11am to 7pm. Entrance is free.
Limited tickets for purchase here or at the door.
The project is supported by Malta Arts Fund – project support grant by Arts Council Malta.
